How to make perfect quinoa in a rice cooker?

If you are looking to cook this in the rice cooker then it is all very easy
Making Quinoa in a rice cooker
I cup of quinoa (this will serve about 4 people, bearing in mind that you will want to mix it with something else.)
You will need to add 2 cups of either water or some sort of stock, like chicken or vegetables (on its own quinoa is a bit bland – like cous cous) .
Half a teaspoon of salt.
You are most likely going to need to wash the quinoa in cold water.
Once all of this is done then you can add the quinoa to the rice cooker with the water and start cooking and this should take about 15 mins.
If you have an automatic rice cooker this will turn off after 15mins more or less
You will need to let this sit for about 5 mins and then fluff it up with a fork (I might add, be careful with a fork as you don’t want to scratch the inner pan).
- 1 cup quinoa (washed if needed)
- 2 cups water / stock
- ½ teaspoon salt
Cooking time approx. 15 mins
